about Fotorocket

fotorocket began in 2009 as 'fotosynthesis", a 365 Photo Project by Katrocket, and a companion blog to rocketradio. Although the 365 Project only lasted about 60 days due to scheduling conflicts and deeply ingrained laziness, this blog became a placeholder for rocketradio when it went offline in 2010. Both blogs were redesigned and relaunched in January 2012.

From 2009-2011, I had the great fortune of working with some of the world's most talented photographers while I was in charge of Production for FoundFolios, an online creative network for people in the advertising industry. I'm proud to have been involved with FOUND, a series of cleanly designed large-format books showcasing the work of top commercial photographers.

rocketradio continues to offer humourous editorials on current affairs and pop culture, and the new fotorocket 2.0 is now a collection of my own images curated by theme, with regular profiles on some of my favourite photographers from around the world. Whether you're an industry professional, or simply enjoy looking at pretty pictures, I hope to offer a little something for all lovers of great photography.

Unless otherwise indicated, all images on fotorocket were taken by Cobie Crawford (aka Katrocket) and are protected by a Creative Commons BY-ND 3.0 license (Attribution-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported). Please email me to inquire about additional permissions for use of images on this blog.
